The first song from Dhyan Sreenivasan’s second film in Weekend Blockbusters’ Weekend Cinematic Universe, “Detective Ujjwalan“, is out. Released as “Neptune”, the song has been composed by RC. The lyrics of this song are written by Manu Manjith and sung by rapper Fejo. The release date of the film was announced a few days ago. The film will be released globally on May 16, 2025.
The film, which is being made as a comedy investigation thriller, stars Dhyan Sreenivasan and Siju Wilson in the lead roles. The film, written and directed by debutants Indranil Gopikrishnan and Rahul G, is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. Detective Ujjwalan is part of the Weekend Cinematic Universe, which started with the weekend blockbusters with the film Minnal Murali.
The lyric video of the song Neptune has been released, bringing the story, background and characters of the film to the audience. The teaser of the film, which was released earlier, also received great attention on social media. The teaser gave an indication that the film has been made with equal importance to comedy and thrill. While Dhyan Sreenivasan appears as the title character in the film, Siju Wilson plays the role of CI Shambhu Mahadev. Kottayam Nazir, Seema G Nair, Ronnie David, Amin, Nihal Nizam, Nibras Noushad, Shahubas, Kalabhavan Nawaz, Nirmal Palazhi and Josy Sijo are the other main stars in the film.
